Reader says — build your own America

I am writing to comment on the Feb. 2 front-page article about the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants and undocumented aliens in America written by Victor M. Ramos, staff writer, in the Orlando Sentinel.

The article was so captivating that I emailed the Orlando Sentinel Web site address across the USA and around the globe for family and friends to read. Illegal immigration and undocumented aliens hands-down is a definite problem.

Frankly, I applaud any elected official, group, or populace that supports sending illegals packing to their home-country with the exception of the small percentage claiming political asylum (crimes associated with potentially erroneous political accusations).

Why am I so darn harsh? Well, I see what's happening in Florida and in other states. Illegals and undocumented aliens are disrupting our social systems, employment areas and our once "peaceful" and relatively safe neighborhoods.

When you consider that illegals are detrimentally impacting every facet of American life as we "knew it," in such numbers; we must remove them. America cannot afford to support 12 million or more people that are not on our census or paying into the financing of America.

America is not a human-dumping ground for just anyone who flops here and thinks that American taxpayers must accept them as the norm and support them in one or another way.

Our families through the decades built America. And, they surely paid the price in so many ways.

Our elected officials should not become confused or soft on illegals for our sake and America's future. Our rocky economy and overwhelmed social system's bottom-line behooves us to energize and support America's elected officials and immigration personnel in removing all illegals. We simply cannot deal with the numbers.

Finally, since illegals are entering America for our lifestyle; I support handing them a copy of the Declaration of Independence in their own language upon deportation. Let them go home and build their own America like we did!
